We love hosting Events at Iris & Dora…

Our tutors are all experienced crafters and creators in their own right so you know that you will have the best advice and guidance but we also know just how to make the workshop fun and relaxed and even the most craft-averse comfortable.

Can’t agree which activity to do? Don’t worry, we are able to combine up to 3 different activities at the same time depending upon availability as long as there are a minimum of 8 guests per activity.

We’ve made it very easy for you to organise your event with us, with our comprehensive list of great activities and our simple and clear pricing structure where each option costs £300 for up to 10 guests plus £35 for each extra attendee.

We have 3 studios available depending upon the activity chosen and the number of guests.

Main Studio, Ruette Braye. Seats up to 48 guests.
Party Room, Ruette Braye. Seats up to 16 guests
Party Room, Make + Made. Seats up to 32 guests.
Downstairs, Make + Made. Seats up to 18 guests.

Our Activities:

Canvas Painting

Come to a paint-a-long at Iris & Dora. No experience at all is needed to unleash your creativity. Everyone will paint the same painting, interpreting the instructors directions in their own style. Its amazing how different they will all look.

Details:

Receive hands-on guidance from the instructor in a studio setting.
Each participant will produce a wonderful piece of art during the session.
No painting skills are required—just bring a fun attitude!
Dress for mess: wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, as paint can stain. Aprons and gloves are provided.
The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours.
Maximum 18 guests, Main Studio, Ruette Braye only.

Acrylic Pouring

Experience the joy of acrylic pouring in this interactive workshop, where you’ll learn the Dirty Pour technique. We’ll explore how to modify your paints with various pouring mediums to create stunning effects.

Details:

Receive hands-on guidance from the instructor in a studio setting.
Each participant will pour two small canvases during the session.
No painting skills are required—just bring a fun attitude!
Dress for mess: wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, as paint can stain. Aprons and gloves are provided.

Ceramic Bobbleheads

During this engaging workshop, each participant will handcraft their own unique bobblehead for their home or office desk.

What is a bobblehead? Our ceramic bobbleheads feature a body with a head that wobbles when nudged. They are fun, unique, and a perfect desk accessory.

Details:

Finished pieces will be dried, fired, glazed, and re-fired, ready for collection in 8-12 weeks.
No pottery experience needed. Please dress in clothes suitable for mess, as clay can be quite messy. Aprons are provided.
The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours.
Maximum 28 guests, any studio.

Hand-build a Ceramic Highland Cow

In this workshop, each participant will handcraft their own charming highland cow using terracotta clay.

Guided by one of our skilled tutors, you’ll create your own delightful highland cow. These beloved bovines are incredibly fun to make, and everyone will be thrilled with their creations.

Details:

Once completed, your piece will be dried, fired, glazed, and re-fired, ready for collection in 8 to 12 weeks.
No pottery experience is needed, but please come dressed for a mess and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, as clay can be quite messy. Aprons will be provided.
The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours.

Mosaicing

During this workshop you will create your own masterpiece from a selection of shapes using broken china, mosaic tiles and other reclaimed materials.

Guided by one of our skilled tutors, you’ll create your own delightful mosaic..

No experience is needed.
Aprons will be provided.
The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours.
Maximum 28 guests, any studio.

Screen Printing

During this workshop each guest will create their own design and print it onto a tote bag, t-shirt or tea towel.

Priced at £35 per guest.
All materials are included
No skills are needed, just a fun attitude.
Please come “dressed for mess” and wear clothes which you don’t mind getting dirty as ink could stain your clothes in the process. Aprons are provided.
Items can be ready to take home on the same day.
